Shilpa Shetty,the Bollywood actress and big brother winner in UK is buying a stake in RAJASTHAN ROYALS.She is the third Bollywood IPL cricket team owner after Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta.She has purchased the stake along with her boyfriend Raj kundra who owns a Dubai based trading company.
Now it seems Shane warne will have the chance to impress Shilpa Shetty.On the other hand shilpa shetty will be the boss of Shane Warne.The Australian Warne not only plays cricket but knows how to impress women.IPL teams have always generated interest not only in India but in Australia,England and other Cricket playing countries.Cricket blogs have gone out of their way in making the IPL cricket famous which is twenty-20 type format.However the Rajasthan Royals are valued at $140 million and co-owned by Manoj Badale.The sold 12% stake is suppose to generate more funds to globalize the Rajasthan Royal brand.Kolkata knight Riders is owned by Shah rukh Khan and the Kings XI Punjab is owned by Preity Zinta and her boyfriend Ness Wadia.Indian Premier League generated a lot of interest in 2008 inaugural season.Surprisingly ,nothing seems to b downsized in financial crisis of 2009.Sponsors still are going strong and organizers look like young Turks determined to succeed.
Can Shilpa Shetty motivate Shane Warne and his Rajasthan Royals to perform at par with 2008 only time will tell.Cricket blog hopes that 2009 too will be an interesting year for cricket.
